Aladin as-Sahabi runs his family's hotel and the attached Aladin Tours travel agency (see p276) with great care, offering recently renovated, midrange facilities at budget prices. No wonder this hotel is popular with our readers: the rooms are simple but cosy, the small private bathrooms are spotless, the breakfast is good and served on the roof terrace, and the staff is super friendly. The new domed rooms on the rooftop terrace are decorated in local style. You can sunbathe on the rooftop and enjoy the jacuzzi or have a drink with views of the West Bank and Luxor Temple. The top-floor lounge has satellite TV, wi-fi, a pool table and a small gym.
